President

A FAMILY-OWNED NORTHERN VIRGINIA management firm specializing in multi-family housing and international financial investment services is seeking a new president to join our executive team. The president will be the face of the company and oversee about a dozen employees. Candidates must write error-free correspondence and have excellent communication skills. The candidate will oversee and manage a portfolio of financial investments and multi-family housing projects spanning from Northern Virginia to Costa Rica.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Represent the firm’s interests before regulatory agencies such as the Fairfax County Department of Consumer Affairs, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the City of Alexandria Architectural review board.
• Act as final arbiter on tenant complaints and review all tax and important regulatory documents.
• Select outside architects, accountants, lawyers and other professionals to provide services to our Management Group from lists compiled by the General Manager.
• Advise the General Manager on company spending limits and hiring decisions.
• Hold quarterly meetings with the four family member owners of the Management Group.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

The ideal candidate shall have:

• An MBA or other advanced degree and 3 years of experience or, alternatively, a B.A. and 7+ years of progressive management experience in multifamily real estate operations.
• Ability to foster teamwork and  professional growth
• Strong verbal, and written communication skills.
• Certification in Property Management or Real Property Administration is a plus.

SALARY: $200,000 to $210,000 depending on experience.
