CBRE is seeking a motivated Business Analyst to join a highly acclaimed, nationally recognized tenant representation team. The team’s clients span the fields of technology, media, government contracting, cybersecurity and professional services firms. Diverse clients include Fortune 100 companies, public and private firms, as well as young entrepreneurial companies.

The ideal candidate will creatively work with data to tell a story, possess keen analytical skills, be intellectually curious and love multi-tasking. This role will be a key part of a consultative approach to developing portfolio strategies and solving business problems for our clients. This person will leverage CBRE’s industry leading real estate technology platform to deliver solutions to clients. The person will perform a variety of financial analyses and prepare benchmarking and performance metrics. This position offers the unique opportunity to work with a variety of industries with broad exposure to real estate leaders and C-level executives.

  • Designs, generates, reviews, and understands reports. Uses aggregate data from multiple sources to assist in creating a complete analysis, improvement and/or recommendation.
  • Uses technology tools (i.e. Tableau) to present data collection and analysis. Performs financial analysis on multiple scenarios.
  • Prepares and presents results of analysis and reports along with their relative impact(s) to the business and all levels of client management.
  • Understands and works with scenario planning (exit/maintain/grow) tools/models. Works with analytical portfolio tools to illustrate cost savings, occupancy management and other factors.
  • Analyzes client real estate portfolios and supports the team in developing portfolio strategies.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements by and among the clients and/or companies.
  • May coordinate involvement of personnel from other departments and information technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations. Proactively learns and is able to present company technology tools.
  • May act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in subject teams and day-to-day functions.
  • Facilitates the maintenance and reporting of benchmarks and performance metrics of the internal team as well as client data.
  • Develops client revenue projections, reports and tracks revenue and works with corporate functions on an as needed basis.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. A degree in business, finance, business analytics or statistics is preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.




Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.


Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts and/or commissions. Conducts financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


Proficient in Excel and Business Intelligence Tools including Tableau and Power BI. Intermediate experience in MS Office Products (Access, Power Point, Word, etc). Heavy emphasis on Excel, Tableau and PowerPoint. Ability to use query and report generation tools.


Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to clients, coworkers and supervisor.
