We have reached the halfway mark of 2017 and are excited to share several notable achievements that will help us continue to represent and advocate for our members and supporters:
Conducted our first AAREP Membership Survey. The survey will help demonstrate the impact our members and supporters have on the region’s real estate industry and local economy. Based on our survey results, AAREP represents real estate developers, real estate brokers, general contractors, service providers, attorneys, consultants, financiers, municipal agencies and community and improvement business districts, the majority of which have at least 10 employees and gross revenues in excess of $2 million annually.
Adopted2017 Legislative Policy Platform. On July 11, 2017, the AAREP Board of Directors adopted a Legislative Policy Platform that will serve as the principal guide for our advocacy efforts. The Platform is available for review on our website. We look forward to working with both the local and federal administration to shape the legislative environment.
Updated the AAREP website. Over the past three months, we have made significant changes to our website, including the addition of a new“AAREP In the News”feature that will allow members and supporters to submit project awards, ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, contract awards, promotions, accomplishments, milestones and other appreciable recognition for AAREP to highlight. There is much to celebrate in our community. Please use this feature to share with us and we will share with the over 1,500 strong AAREP network!
We will continue our work in the second half of 2017 and invite you to join us on August 1st at the 2017 Access to Capital Symposium and in November when we host our 14th Annual AAREP Awards Gala at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Building. Details for upcoming events can always be found on the Events page of our website. This year is an important one for AAREP. We are working to improve our value proposition and look forward to sharing new and exciting benefits. We remain committed to standing, united, and advocating for our collective best interests. Together, We March Forward. Carisa Stanley 2017 AAREP President
